  Makeba Riddick-Woods, or just “Makeba”, as she’s fondly known by her industry counterparts, is a female phenom in the world of pop music. While having racked up 13 #1 Billboard singles and 9 Grammy Nominations as a singer,  songwriter/producer for some of the most accomplished artists in the world, Woods Is also a force to be reckoned with in the world of sync and licensing. Her infectious songs have been synced to many of our favorite TV shows and Film projects over the past 2 decades. In 2016, Makeba Woods was handpicked by Hollywood TV and Film Producer, Lee Daniels to write and produce music for his two, hit TV shows titled “STAR” and “Empire” on the Fox Network which ran for 5 seasons.  

 

  Woods has worked alongside some of the biggest and brightest Executives and Producers in network TV. (Jessie Collins Ent., Moonbaby Media, Lee Daniels Production, OWN) In 2023, Makeba Woods makes her first foray into the world of animation sync with the Omoberry Series on YouTube. Commissioned by Limitless Productions to write for the new season of the series, Woods infuses original hip hop beats with fun, educational songs for kids ages 4-12. The Omoberry songs written and voiced by Woods put a fun, urban twist on fan favorite songs like Heads Shoulders Knees and Toes and Pat-a-Cake which have been remixed by Makeba Woods for the series. She has also created original songs for Omoberry which will undoubtedly drive young fans from all over the world to the growing animation series. With her sights set on animation, Woods hopes to continue sharing her hit-making expertise to more animated projects in the coming years.
